And when he had arrived at the temple, as he was teaching, the leaders of the priests and the elders of the people approached him, saying: By what authority do you do these things? And who has given this authority to you? (Mt 21:23)
Καὶ ἐλθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ διδάσκοντι οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι τοῦ λαοῦ λέγοντες· ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς:; καὶ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην;
Et cum venisset in templum, accesserunt ad eum docentem, principes sacerdotum, et seniores populi, dicentes: In qua potestate hæc facis? Et quis tibi dedit hanc potestatem?
