Precious (πολύτιμος polytimos)

And then Mary took twelve ounces of pure spikenard ointment, very precious, and she anointed the feet of Jesus, and she wiped His feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. (J 12:3)

Ἡ οὖν Μαριὰμ λαβοῦσα λίτραν μύρου νάρδου πιστικῆς πολυτίμου ἤλειψεν τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ἐξέμαξεν ταῖς θριξὶν αὐτῆς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ· ἡ δὲ οἰκία ἐπληρώθη ἐκ τῆς ὀσμῆς τοῦ μύρου.

Maria ergo accepit libram unguenti nardi puri, pretiosi, et unxit pedes Iesu et extersit capillis suis pedes eius; domus autem impleta est ex odore unguenti.
