Here (ὧδε hōde)

Amen I say to you, there are some among those standing here, who shall not taste death, until they see the Son of Man arriving in His reign. (Mt 16,28)

ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν oὅτι εἰσίν τινες τῶν ὧδε ἑστώτων οἵτινες οὐ μὴ γεύσωνται θανάτου ἕως ἂν ἴδωσιν τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐρχόμενον ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ. 

Amen dico vobis, sunt quidam de hic stantibus, qui non gustabunt mortem, donec videant Filium hominis venientem in regno suo.

Here, where does it mean here? Who are those who are stood? Where is this place? Where did he say it? It is rather here, where we hear the Word today. The Word brings the living presence of the Lord closer. Here and now, it ceases to be just a postulate for adepts of spirituality, but becomes a meeting place. Here is the Kingdom of God. It is among us.
