Mud (טִיט ṭîṭ)

Therefore, they took Jeremiah and cast him into the pit of Malchiah, the son of Amelech, which was at the entrance to the prison. And they lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the pit, in which there was no water, but only mud. And so Jeremiah descended into the mire. (Jer 38:6)

וַיִּקְח֣וּ אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ וַיַּשְׁלִ֨כוּ אֹתֹ֜ו אֶל־הַבֹּ֣ור   מַלְכִּיָּ֣הוּ בֶן־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ אֲשֶׁר֙ בַּחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָ֔ה וַיְשַׁלְּח֥וּ אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בַּחֲבָלִ֑ים וּבַבֹּ֤ור אֵֽין־מַ֨יִם֙ כִּ֣י אִם־טִ֔יט וַיִּטְבַּ֥ע יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בַּטִּֽיט׃ 

Tulerunt ergo Ieremiam, et proiecerunt eum in lacum Melchiæ filii Amelech, qui erat in vestibulo carceris: et submiserunt Ieremiam funibus in lacum, in quo non erat aqua, sed lutum: descendit itaque Ieremias in cœnum.
