To enlighten (ϕοτίζω fotidzō)

But call to mind the former days, in which, after being enlightened, you endured a great struggle of afflictions. (Heb 10:32)

Ἀναμιμνῄσκεσθε δὲ τὰς πρότερον ἡμέρας, ἐν αἷς φωτισθέντες πολλὴν ἄθλησιν ὑπεμείνατε παθημάτων.

Rememoramini autem pristinos dies, in quibus illuminati, magnum certamen sustinuistis passionum.
