μακάριοι οἱ πραεῖς, ὅτι αὐτοὶ κληρονομήσουσιν τὴν γῆν.
Beati mites, quoniam ipsi possidebunt terram.
This word is often translated as “quiet” or “gentle”. Biblical gentleness should not be equated with weakness. It refers to the use of God’s power under His control – that is, demonstrating His power without blunt brutality.
