I heard Your voice in Paradise, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and so I hid myself. (Gen 3:10)
וַיֹּאמֶר אֶת־קֹלְךָ שָׁמַעְתִּי בַּגָּן וָאִירָא כִּֽי־ עֵירֹםאָנֹכִי וָאֵחָבֵֽא׃
qui ait vocem tuam audivi in paradiso et timui eo quod nudus essem et abscondi me.
The voice of God has not changed since Adam knew Him. It is rather something that has changed in the perception of the first man. Fear came after sin. Adam stopped hearing well because he was bitten by the sin of disobedience. Therefore, every act of obedience to God restores and strengthens my sensitivity to His voice. There is no threat or rejection in it. Today, together with Holy Mary, let us listen to the Word of God so that it may become Flesh in us.
