To announce (בָּשַׂר basar)

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger and the preacher of peace! Announcing good and preaching peace, they are saying to Zion, Your God will reign! (Is 52:7)

Quam pulchri super montes pedes annuntiantis, praedicantis pacem, annuntiantis bonum, praedicantis salutem, dicentis Sion: “Regnavit Deus tuus!”.

Isaiah’s joy seems to outdo itself. Good news – Gospel comes down to announce peace. In response to this, happiness and goodness are born, which are realized in salvation. From our Paschal perspective, we read these words as fulfilled and current. We no longer wait because God has begun to reign, we no longer expect because the Son of God is the Gospel, He is the Word that became Flesh.
