Be anxious to preserve the unity of the Spirit within the bonds of peace. (Eph 4:3)
σπουδάζοντες τηρεῖν τὴν ἑνότητα τοῦ πνεύματος ἐν τῷ συνδέσμῳ τῆς εἰρήνης.
soliciti servare unitatem Spiritus in vinculo pacis.
One of the most precious values that create the quality of our life is bonds. That which unites us in a community of marriage, friendship, religious orders, neighbors, and brotherhood, is the main “ingredient” of a good life. Bonds mature in the rays of the Holy Spirit. The chosen noun, in literal translation, expresses binding together.
Peace can bind us together without violence, forcing unity or on the principle of stuffing into one form. It unites us in freedom.
