And I received the book from the hand of the Angel, and I consumed it. And it was sweet like honey in my mouth. And when I had consumed it, my stomach was made bitter. (Rv 10:10)
The Book, its purpose is to lead us to God, it is for us the source of knowledge of Him, but above all it contains the Word of God, which has the power to transform our hearts. God wants to feed us with His Word.
The Word of God is sometimes sweet to us like honey, when it comforts us and strengthens us, and sometimes it is bitter, full of bitterness, when it rebukes us, reproaches us for our sins, and encourages us to change our thinking. Sometimes the Word is like nectar, and sometimes like medicine that has a bitter taste, but allows us to be healed.
The Word of God is good at every stage of our life, in every state of our soul, we just have to reach for it. Just take this little book in hand and consume it, and then we will experience how great is its power.
